Well what can I say? Coolermaster have produced a fantastic range of power supplies, with barely any difference in quality between the 1000w model, and the 700w model. All 3 units feature great looks, great features, their modular, they're quiet and they have some of the tightest, most stable rails around. Not only that, but even the lowest wattage rating (700w) was able to handle the hefty test rig without any problems at all. |

Much like the Real Power M1000 unit which we reviewed several months ago the M700 is a very well designed unit which delivers great performance. The results for the M700 are above average on every sector with the electrical performance of the unit being the most impressive. Even when it comes to aesthetics the subtle colors and modular design of the M700 will not disappoint anyone.
There is no doubt that the CoolerMaster Real Power M700 is an excellent choice for people who are looking to buy a unit with a maximum output of 700W. Most people would think that such a premium performance unit would come at a very high price but that is not entirely the case as the M700 is a modestly priced unit which can easily compete against every other unit with similar power ratings.
Because of the excellent all around performance and the reasonable price, the CoolerMaster M700 unit earned our Gold award.

....When it comes to power, you want a PSU that delivers all the power you need, in a smooth manner to switch between high loads and stand-by loads without any form of loss. This becomes more apparent on gaming and clocking systems as the need for power fluctuates rapidly resulting in a constant ebb and flow.......Moving onto the actual PSU itself, in operation it was fairly quiet which was nice to hear, or not hear in this instance. As heat increased the fan simply picked up the speed a little to compensate for it. So the claim of being whisper silent was actually true. Teaming that with a three year warranty,SLi compatibility on the M1000, and 80 PLUS compatibility also, you have the rock foundations of something very interesting. Did we mention the six ground-breaking +12V independent output rails for exceptional power distribution.........I cant fault the PSU at all, it did everything we wanted it to do and more besides. Its delivery is clean and very stable, its up to the standard Nvidia expect to run their new cards and its housed in a really nice black electroplated casing. No paint here folks. Is it worth the money though, well to be fair yes it is. I have been suitably impressed by its overall performance, its less noise approach and would happily replace all our servers with this new and improved PSU over the older Coolermaster ones we have. You cant fault the modular approach, the whole package just says quality and backed with that warranty you know they are confidant in its abilities. I dont see anyone else offering such a great after sales service and back up. Do you?

One of our favorites this month ,though, and the one we decided to put in our A List Extra supplement, is the CoolerMaster Real Power M700.Despite costing just £66, it is a modular supply that can pump out a full 700W, leaving bags of headroom for everyday use. Its electrics took the gold medal this month, achieving a remarkable 87% efficiency at low loads. And with ten Molex and six SAT connectors, it’s uncommonly well equipped as well.............
